What we do
Six kinds of work, done properly
Most of our jobs are one of these. Every photo is one of our own jobs, some finished and some mid-build, so you can see how the work goes together.
Full bathroom renovations, walk-in and curbed showers, tub surrounds, niches and tile.
Waterproofing membrane, framing, insulation, drywall and finishing, so the new walls stay dry and the room stays warm.
Full kitchen renovations, plus tile backsplashes laid straight and level around cabinets, hoods and outlets.
Large-format porcelain for halls, kitchens and bathrooms, set flat on a properly prepared floor, plus flake coatings for garages.
Walls, ceilings, trim and doors, with holes patched and sanded first so the paint goes on smooth.
Stacked stone and porcelain slab fireplace walls, TV niches and built-in shelving.

Basement work, stage by stage
Six short clips filmed on one basement job, from the waterproofing membrane to the last coats of mud. Press play on any stage.
Stage 1
Waterproofing
A dimpled membrane on the foundation walls keeps moisture off the new framing.
Stage 2
Framing and rough-in
New stud walls go up, and the wiring goes in before anything is closed in.
Stage 3
Insulation
Batts between the studs, sealed behind a plastic vapour barrier.
Stage 4
Drywall
Boards hung and screwed off, seams taped with the first coat.
Stage 5
Mudding
A second coat over the seams, corners and screws, ready to sand smooth.
Stage 6
Final coats and doors
More coats of mud over the seams and patches, with the new interior doors going in.
Filmed on a phone on site, so expect a little shake. The clips have no sound.

Bloor Renovation is a Toronto renovation company. We take on bathrooms, basements, kitchens, tile floors, painting and fireplace walls, and we stay with the job from tearing out the old to the final walkthrough.
